  • Make connections and liaise on behalf of vulnerable people
  • Support clients as they work to resolve personal challenges
  • Support clients to complete and understand documentation
  • Provide access to telephone, internet, email, and facsimile
  • Provide one to one support to clients in need
  • Make referrals to health and wellness programs and agencies
  • Navigate local rental housing market
  • Support to address financial insecurity
  • Clarify requests being made of clients by different government and non-government agencies
  • Raise awareness around need for change re: community social, and wellness challenges

Note: Should everything go according to plan the Lillooet Friendship Centre is hoping to open the Recovery/Wellness (Day) Treatment Centre 24 hours a day providing support to clients who are in the Recovery Stage of addiction. Although we are not expected to open 24 hours per day we believe this is the most effective way to support clients of the Juniper Room to overcome their addictions over the long term.

This project is being delivered under the umbrella of the District of Lillooet and is funded by the Municipalities of British Columbia.
